JAGLA

Wojtek Jan Jagla ("Big Al"), beloved husband of Anita (Stempien), loving father of Agnieszka and Magdalena (Justin), and doting grandfather of Isabella, passed away peacefully at home on October 8. He is also survived by his sisters Teresa (Edward) and Barbara (Bronislaw) and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Jozef, beloved mother Stefania, sister Magdalena and brother Witold.

Wojtek was born in Krakow, Poland and immigrated to the United States in 1977. He was a man of many talents and many passions. He loved a home remodeling project (and even completed some), saving a penny and cooking. His greatest love, however, was helping his girls with anything at any time. He was an opinionated man, enjoying politics and being a contrarian. There was no conspiracy theory he wasn't willing to consider. He was a mason, construction worker, and electrician. He retired from Local Union 98 in 2015 after 20 years of service.

Most recently, his favorite title was that of dziadzuis (grandpa). He loved his Belcia fiercely and his presence in her life will forever be missed.

He will be missed tremendously by his family and loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Monday October 13th 10:00 AM at Nativity BVM Church 2535 E. Allegheny Ave. Phila., PA 19134. Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment Private.
