Winifred Mager

Winifred Mager 78, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2026.
Born on May 1, 1948, in Philadelphia to Winifred Daciuk & Harold Mager, Winifred lived a life full of warmth and devotion to those she loved.
Life and Passions
Known for her famous egg salad, storytelling and fashion, Winnie was the heart and anchor of our family. She loved spending her time gardening, ordering from QVC or HSN, spending time with her loved ones/animals and sharing stories about her life. She was also a talented violinist and a member of the Philadelphia’s All-City High School Orchestra. In life, she ferociously abided by the old school values and common sense, and her famous phrase was “God don’t like ugly.” She was indeed a true Philadelphian through and through.
Surviving Family
She is preceded in death by her husband Warren Schrader; She is survived by her children, Brian O’Connell (Nicol), Kevin O’Connell, Warren O’Connell (Mary), Joseph O’Connell, David Schrader and Aaron Daciuk; and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Nicol), Kearstyn (James), Morgan, Joseph (Kyrstin), Brian (Kim), Korhyn, Warren, Seth, Brandon, Mary, Maive, David and great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Service Details
A celebration of her life will be held on September 17th at 12pm-2pm at Reilly Rakowski Funeral Home at 2632 E. Allegheny Ave Philadelphia, PA 19135.
