Williams Elliott

–

Toms River, New Jersey

In loving memory of Williams Elliott Jr., who left us on April 12, 2025 at the age of 90. It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend. He was a man who will be deeply missed and forever loved.

He was predeceased by his parents, Williams Elliott Sr. and Henrietta Elliott (Bowman), his wife of almost 50 years, Elaine Elliott (Baker) deceased 2005, and his second wife, Carole Elliott (Patterson)

He is survived by his children, Barbara Brewer (John), Nancy Rinkers (John), Williams Elliott III (Bridget); his grandchildren, Christopher Hammond (Linda), Stephanie Boccella (Anthony), Zachary Hammond (Joanna), Meaghan Hammond, James Brewer, Emma Collins (Dane), Alex Elliott (Sonya ) Meagan Tidball (Andrew), Shannon Schad (John), James DiCave (Nicole) and thirteen great-grandchildren.

His 90 years were lived to the fullest. He put so much life into every moment.

He could be found playing bocce ball, shuffleboard and darts into his last year near his home in Toms River, NJ. He was always a competitor. Enjoying basketball at his high school, John Bartram, in Philadelphia PA., then playing for the U.S. Navy in the 50's and coaching for BVM Catholic league in Darby, PA and The Richard Berberian League in Springfield PA. Then on to the pickup games at the Ridley Township Swim Club against the younger men.

In the latter years of his life, he enjoyed boating, fishing and sometimes just floating and reading his books waiting for the elusive catch. His social life was always vibrant and full.

He belonged to many clubs with the most frequented being The Elk's Lodge in Tom's River.

Williams' life will be celebrated at a later date this summer.
