William Gunther

GUNTHER
William "Bill" Gunther passed away on May 6, 2024 at the age of 81. Bill was born on July 5, 1942 in Springfield, Ohio. Loving son of the late Robert and Evelyn Gunther. Beloved husband of 57 years to Jeanne (nee Leyden) Gunther. Loving father of Michael (Sue) of Wesley Chapel, FL. and Ted (Emily) Gunther of West Chester PA. Cherished Grandpa of Jack and Madalyn.

Also survived by a niece, many nephews, and brother Don (Wanda) Gunther of Indiana. He is predeceased by his brother Robert (killed in the line of duty in Vietnam). Bill served in the army from 1964 to 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Good Conduct Medal. Bill was the Chief Financial Officer for Jones Motor Group for 21 years when he retired in 2007. Bill was an avid Ohio State football fan. He loved Japanese calligraphy, Irish music, mathematics, chess, and playing bridge. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday, May 11 at 9:30 AM Saints Peter and Paul Church 1325 Boot Rd., West Chester PA 19380. Funeral mass 10:30 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
