Tomislav Bosancic

–

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tomislav "Tony" Bosancic, a dedicated, funny, and loving soul, on August 8, 2023. Born on July 9, 1946, in Svodna, former Yugosalvia. Tony spent the majority of his life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a city he called home for 55 years. Beginning his career as a chef while navigating his new homeland and seizing the American dream by starting his own painting company which he dedicated his life to for 40 plus years.

Finally retiring in 2021, he took the opportunity to spend all of his free time enjoying his family, the thing he loved the most. He never missed a soccer game, or an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, often found sun bathing or tending to his garden.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Janine Bosancic, and his adored grandsons, Carter and Conner Doyle as well as family members and friends across the globe. His grandkids were his world and he cherished every moment spent with them. Tony was not just a wonderful father and grandfather, but also an amazing person and "Pop" to all of his grandkids friends as well as the best bud to his beloved dog Teddy who was always at his side.

As we remember him, we encourage all who knew him to celebrate his life and the joy he brought into ours. We invite you to share your favorite memories of Tomislav and upload photos to his memorial page. It is in these shared stories and pictures that his spirit continues to live on. As we mourn his loss, let us remember him for the dedicated, funny, loving, and thoughtful man that he was. His life was a beautiful journey, one that touched countless others with love and laughter. A one of a kind person, as those closest to him would describe him.

To say we will miss him is an understatement. Heaven has gained a true angel.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday Evening August 15th 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reilly Rakowski Funeral Home 2632-34 E. Allegheny Ave. Phila., PA 19134. Interment Private.
