Maria Jodzio, a cherished wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on June 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Poland on January 20, 1947, Maria later moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before settling down in Moorestown, New Jersey. She was a compassionate and generous person who will always be remembered for her love of family, holidays, and her passion for cooking, traveling, and entertaining.\n\nMaria was a talented homemaker who took great pride in her home and family. She was a graduate of the Cosmetology and Beauty Academy of Jenkintown and loved to share her skills and knowledge with others. An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, Maria cherished her home in Palm Beach, Florida, where she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and her memory will live on through the many lives she impacted.\n\nMaria is survived by her loving husband, Edward Jodzio, whom she married on August 9, 1967; her daughter, Katherine (Matt) Zielinski; her son, Philip (Kamila) Jodzio; her grandchildren, Lucas, Samuel, Ella, Sebastian, and Amelia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Joanna Malik. Family and friends are invited to attend Maria's viewing on Wednesday Evening, June 21, 2023, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Reilly-Rakowski Funeral Home 2632-34 E. Allegheny Ave. Phila., PA 19134, and again on Thursday Morning, June 22, 2023, at 9:00 AM, at St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church 2645 E. Allegheny Ave. Phila., PA 19134. Her funeral mass will be held at the church at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.
