Janet Merle Barbera ( nee Warren), 91, of Ocean City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 6, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Harry Warren (Charlotte), and Olive Schaeffer. Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Barbera, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. She often spoke of him with great love and carried his memory with her throughout her life.

Janet had a love for travel, enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family, playing cards, and looked forward each year to her cherished trips with her three daughters. She took joy in creating memories with family and friends, and her warmth, humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Susan Miller (Richard), Nancy Bennett (James), and Merle Harper. Her grandchildren include Katie Fisher and David Miller (children of Susan); Caitlin Dickash, Kelly Bennett, Kristin Bennett, Caroline Rosemeyer, and Ryan Bennett (children of Nancy); and Matthew Harper, Haley Harper, and Kyle Harper (children of Merle), along with eight great-grandchildren, as well as many extended family members, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation Saturday February 14th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 2nd Street and Atlantic Avenue, Ocean City, NJ, followed by an 11:00 A.M. Mass. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Project Walk in Janet's memory.

The Funeral Mass for Janet Barbera is available via Zoom on Saturday, February 14.
The meeting will open at 10:30 AM to allow time for setup, and the Mass will begin at 11:00 AM.
