James Henry “Big Jim” Rementer\nOf Philadelphia PA Passed away on November 6, 2023 at Vitas Hospice Services at Nazareth Hospital. Born on August 13, 1931, he was 92.\n\nBorn and raised in South Philadelphia by the late Anna Deal and Charles Rementer. Jim loved his childhood in South Philly \noften telling stories of his family and friends. After a sudden death of his father and an injury to his mother he became the man of the house helping support his mother and two sisters Elizabeth (Richard) and Sissy who he loved dearly.\n\n Jim worked tirelessly for 28 years at envelope manufacturer EJ Spangler where he was a machinist. He often worked “double bubbles” to support his family. Later he retired from Pomco Graphics also located in Philadelphia.\n\n Jim’s family meant the world to him, where he is survived by his wife of 67 years Marlene, his children James (Susan), Marlene (Richard), Beth Ann (Frank), Kathleen (Susan), & Mark (Sharon). Loving Grandfather of Beth, Jimmy, Jill, Tina, Kristie, Jessica, Madison, Colleen & Kelly. Great Grandfather of Jimmy, Ryan, Emily, Natalie, Nate, Paetyn, and Abigail. As well as many nieces and nephews. \n\n His funeral services will be held on Friday November 10, 2023 10:00 AM at Reilly Rakowski Funeral Home 2632-34 Allegheny Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134. Memorial Service 12 NOON. Interment Private.\n\n In lieu of flowers please make donations to Vitas Hospice Care at Nazareth Hospital.
