FRANCIS C. HIGGINS JR. Obituary (1948 - 2015)

Francis C. Higgins Jr. of Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015, age 66. He was a free spirited gentleman and a United States Marines Veteran. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Higgins (Karcher). He was the son of the late Francis C. Higgins Sr. and Rita B. Higgins. He was the loving Father of Michael (Dawn), Stephen (Donna), Karen, Amanda (Ryan), and Sean. He was the eldest brother of Margaret (Ken), Joseph, Matthew (Terri), and Bertha. He was the devoted Pop-Pop of Megan, Michael, Colin, Chloe, Madison, Skyler, and Corinne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Everyone who knew him loved him. His laugh was contagious, and his smile lit up the entire room. He was kind hearted, loving, and loyal. He left a positive impact on every person who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was the definition of integrity. He was a true hero, not only to our Country, but also to everyone in his life who loved him. He was an optimist that loved life and enjoyed every minute of it. He was strong, resilient, and brilliant. His love for his family was undeniable. He touched the life of everyone who knew him and he will be loved and missed forever. Family and friends are invited to his Visitation on Saturday, September 12th, 11:00AM-12:00PM at The Malloy Funeral Home, located at 625 Byberry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
