Catherine M. "nee McConville" Hesson Obituary (1921 - 2017)

Catherine Marie Hesson "Cas", age 96, of Philadelphia, PA, died on Thursday, September 28, 2017 with family by her side. Daughter of the late Anna and Henry McConville. Cas was born on May 18,1921 in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Stetson High School, Class of 1939. Cas enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her children. She loved music and dancing especially to Frank Sinatra. She loved being out in the sun and enjoyed going to Florida and Ocean City, MD. She loved animals, especially her springer spaniels, Kelly and George. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and talking with her sister Marie every day. Wife of the late James Hesson, Cas is survived by her 3 children, Kathy (late Jim) Fitzgerald, Joey Hesson and Jimmy (Roseanne) Hesson and 6 grandchildren: Jimmy (Charlene) Hesson, Denise (Matt) Smith, Jason (Liz) Hesson, Brian (Brenda) Fitzgerald, Casey (Jim) Henry, and Shannon (John) D'Alessio. Cas was a loving "Nan" to 13 great grandchildren: Ava, Reilly, Jackson, Alex, Hannah, Emily, Nolan, Lucas, Declan, Fiona, Curran, JD and Arthur. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, October 4th at 11AM located St. Christopher's Catholic Church 13301 Proctor Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116. Followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 12PM. Interment immediately following at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 2PM, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA. 18940.
