It is with deep sorrow and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of our beloved Albert "Pop" Marquard. Born on July 1, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Albert was a beacon of love, generosity, and laughter. He was known for his ever-present sense of humor, his unwavering reliability, and his deep love for his family. Albert was the kind of person who could be counted on for anything. His love for his family shone through in every interaction, and they were truly his world.
In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Albert lived his life by this creed, always doing what he could for his family. He loved his wife dearly, cherishing each of their 42 years together, and is now reunited with her. Albert's passion for all sports, especially the Phillies and Flyers, was infectious, and he spent countless hours sharing this love with his four children, Monica Corsack, Teresa, Eric Marquard, and Denise Marquard, and his six adored grandchildren. Albert’s lunches with his daughter and sister were times of mutual joy, laughter, and deep connection.
Albert was a loyal son to the late Albert Marquard and Catherine Cooper, and a loving brother, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will continue to inspire and guide us. Albert’s life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Monday February 16th 9:00 AM at the Malloy Funeral Home 625 Byberry Rd. Phila., PA 19116. Memorial Service 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
